In a setback for Anthony ‘The Mooch’ Scaramucci, the star of Season Two of our national reality show, his wife just filed for divorce. According to Page Six, Deidre Ball cited his “naked political ambition” in telling The Mooch she’s had enough. On the bright side, however, it appears his mortal enemy may have been dealt a blow this very same Friday afternoon in July. The Mooch blamed White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus for “cockblocking” his move into the White House in the Trump administration before he finally became White House communications director this week. That particularly pissed Scaramucci off because he’d sold his hedge fund in January in preparation for the transition to a life in politics. But President Trump announced on where-else-but-Twitter today that he’s got a new chief of staff:

It wasn’t immediately clear what this meant for Reince Priebus, who was a key White House player until, well, now. But Trump followed up with some words about Priebus:
Apparently, Priebus was spotted on Air Force one around the time of the announcement, meaning this must have been quite a situation on board.
But the plot thickens: according to the pool report, Priebus was “essentially kicked to the curb” off of Air Force One:
This feels like the kind of situation the expression “shit-canned” was invented for. The Mooch lost a spouse today, but it appears he’s also done some winning.
