Trending News: Here’s How To Boost Your Sperm Count So We Don’t All Go Extinct
Long Story Short
A new study says sperm counts in the Western world have dropped by more than half — and it could be our undoing. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to boost your sperm count, one of which involves having more sex.
Men all over the world are infertile and war is breaking out everywhere. Human extinction is near.
This scenario was played out in the dystopian thriller Children of Men starring Clive Owen, and it might become our real future, according to new research.
A study out of Jerusalem has found that sperm counts among men in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand are dropping. Of the 185 studies the researchers reviewed, they found a 52.4% decline in sperm concentration and a 59.3% decline in total sperm count over the last 40 years.
Lead researcher Dr. Hagai Levine told the BBC that this is seriously some bad new bears.
“If we will not change the ways that we are living and the environment and the chemicals that we are exposed to, I am very worried about what will happen in the future,” he said. “Eventually we may have a problem, and with reproduction in general, and it may be the extinction of the human species.”
The good doctor didn’t hold back there, did he?
Levine blames things like man-made chemicals such as pesticides and plastics, obesity, cigarettes, stress, junk food, and even watching too much TV for the reduction in sperm numbers.
The good news is there is a way to boost your sperm count — and it involves things we do every day.
First, eat well. Food like nuts, oysters and drinking plain old H2O can help increase your sperm count. Working out, taking specific supplements and sleeping in the nude can also boost your sperm. And there’s one other way I saved for last. If you’re trying to get pregnant, having sex twice in a hour triples males fertility, according to a British study.
So there ya have it, not all hope is lost. Plus, we’re probably all going to die from climate change or superbugs anyway.
