Plenty of celebrities dressed all-out for Mayweather-McGregor. Leo was not one of them.

Leonardo DiCaprio has two sides to his off-duty style: “uber-rich sexagenarian on a yacht in Ibiza” and “sports enthusiast en route to a couch nap”. Those personas converged at the historic Mayweather Vs. McGregor fight on Saturday night in Las Vegas. On the yacht-master side: DiCaprio wore a breezy black button-down shirt, open at the chest, with a long gold pendant necklace. (In true bro fashion, his seatmate wore virtually the same thing.) Leo further Jack Nicholson’d the look by adding some handsome tortoise sunglasses into the mix. On the lazy spectator side of things, DiCaprio donned a LA Dodgers hat and what, based on years of historical evidence, we are duty-bound to assume were baggy jeans down below. The mix was simultaneously swagger-filled and completely underwhelming, a style cocktail that Leonardo DiCaprio has all but perfected over the years.

Loads of other celebrities attended the fight, too, but most weren’t as divided as DiCaprio in their style influences. On the dapper, old-school side: A-Rod, LeBron James, and actor Austin Butler, all in dark suits and ties. On the sporty side: Chance the Rapper and Meek Mill, rocking jeans and sneakers. Meanwhile, a few guys like Diddy and James Harden layered on their flashiest, Mayweather-worthy bling (the latter in a very Kanye-like sparkly denim jacket). Pretty much all of them were more successful than DiCaprio in nailing fight-night style—which calls for something both dressy and completely ridiculous. The one exception? Gerard Butler, who somehow manages to give the impression of caring even less about style than our pal Leo. Butler showed up wearing jeans, a T-shirt, and boots laced up juuuust enough to keep his feet inside them. DiCaprio might be DGAF in his approach to getting dressed, but at least he knows how to keep his accessories from falling off.
