Dart: Autofill and Customize Emails on the iWatch JD March 23, 2015 Reviews 173 If you struggle replying to emails appropriately, then maybe you need a solution like Dart. If you planning on getting emails via a smartwatch or other tiny mobile device in the future, then maybe you really need Dart. This app allows you to construct a number of different pre-made emails and use them to swiftly answer the messages you get. Actually, it’s a bit more complicated than it sounds. Dart essentially helps you code in different events and potential responses so that you can build emails that effectively communicate your point and actually get something accomplished instead of sending filler content or out-of-office automated responses. Dart integrates with your address book, Gmail, iCloud and other mail apps to pull information from multiple sources. It creates its own little section on your menu bar (when possible) so you can choose drop-down options for particulars things or places – or, of course, emojis. There’s also a dictation option that allows you to dictate brief messages up to 200 words if you want something very specific. Think of it as the Twitterization of email, especially for people who still need to do a lot of mail-to-mail communication instead of using something like Twitter or instant messaging. It’s also handy for on-the-go professionals who need to answer clients as politely as possible but don’t really have time to tap out a whole email on their phones. Unfortunately, if you don’t have Apple products you may be out of luck…at least for now. Dart is only available for Apple operating systems, although the company hopes to bring functionality to other major platforms within the next year. On the brighter side, the Apple functionality is very complete, and you can expect Dart to soon work well enough on even the Apple Watch, providing you are willing to pay the $1.99 the app costs.
